Man, I haven’t really done any art in forever. It’s probably because ages ago I spent forever trying to work on this and ended up giving up.
It was just supposed to be some sort of ref sheet for Dianne, just to help myself with her process/where things were going and what her stages were with the Titan and what have you.
I’d always been pretty vague even in my head with what she looked like in the final stages, I knew that she was quite agile and spidery yet didn’t really have a DRASTIC physical change besides her arms. Turned out kinda different when I started drawing it based on what I’d written during a scene. The only thing I pretty much had to go on was my dumb imagination being vague and small things like her being taller, more hunched with her spine pushing through her skin etc due to the Titan’s modification of her upper body, more specifically WHERE it was injected [the small of her back by Tetch and her arms by herself.]
I REALLY don’t like what I drew here for the last stage, bugs the ever loving shit out of me and the tail was a scribble addition trying to see what it would be like with/without, and if it was necessary due to the way she uses her claws. And again..although she’s still human it looks too deformed for my liking, it makes her look too monster-y too me. It might be just my lack of anatomy that makes her look too bulky and not spidery enough.
The first/mid phase is fine though, sort of. I could really picture the underside of her claws but I assumed they would be slightly weaker than the outside and drew in some veins [glowing thanks to the T.] just to make it a bit more interesting too. [Bonus Silver Fang doodle in the bottom there just for kicks]
Thankfully I don’t think I have anything else to say other than that i was having a terrible few days with hands, thus handless for the most part XD i just couldnt get them to work.
I guess its just best to leave Dianne up to the imagination than try and draw it out.
